Botswana is the Southern African game heartland. Housing the incredible Chobe Game Park – Botswana’s most well maintained conservation area and the Okavango Delta - a series of permanent and fleeting waterways and floodplains, occupying an otherwise sandy corner of northern Botswana makes this combo Botswana’s premier safari destination. This 8-day Best of Botswana captures exactly that and gives an additional opportunity of including an the Victoria Falls experience as a pre tour optional.

Day 03: Chobe
Chobe – home to Africa’s largest concentration of elephants, and the legendary fish eagle. We continue with our game safari. (B, L, D)

Day 04: Chobe / Savute Marsh
After another morning game drive we are transferred to the airport for our light aircraft flight to the Savute area. Game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles in the Savute area, including the Savute Marsh and a visit to the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills.
Overnight: Savute Safari Lodge (2 nights) (B, L, D)

Day 05; Savute Marsh
Continue clicking and viewing animals through the camera lens and independent of that. An incredible experience! (B, L, D)

Day 06; Savute Marsh / Okavango Delta
A farewell game viewing in the morning. For many the best is yet to come as we head off to the Okavango Delta by a light aircraft. At the Delta Game viewing activities include exploring the Delta by mokoro (dugout canoe) and motorboat. Guided nature walks on the various islands afford the opportunity to track some of the larger species that inhabit this water wilderness.
Overnight: Camp Okavango / Xugana Island Lodge (2 nights) (B, L, D)

Day 07: Okavango Delta
Continue exploring the delta and tracking game. The delta is well known for large herd of antelopes, zebra, buffalo and elephants that roam the pastures, and lions, leopards, cheetahs and all the other carnivores prosper. As Moremi Game Reserve contains large areas of constant water, game viewing during the dry season is particularly good as animals are drawn to the permanent water sources. (B, L, D)

Day 08: Okavango / Maun
Enjoy morning activity and breakfast, before light aircraft transfer to Maun Airport, where tour ends. Ideal opportunity to combine the Best of Botswana with the other tour programs we have in the region. (B)
