The Orient is a unique and exotic world of its own offering rich experiences of friendly people, vibrant culture, history and enchanting scenery. In addition to all of this is a wide variety of delicious local and international cuisine and some of the best shopping in the world. Our Gems of Orient tour is a 16-day journey that offers all of this and a lot of fun. This is a very leisurely drawn program that allows all the major sightseeing as well as free time for personal and independent activities including additional sightseeing and shopping.
Day
01: Arrive Seoul
Upon arrival at Soul airport we are warmly receive
and transferred to your hotel. Balance of day is free.
Overnight: Sofitel Ambassador Hotel, Seoul (3 nights)
Day 02: Seoul
Our tour of the South Korean capital city starts with
the panoramic Mt. Namsan lookout, South Gate Market
and Changdeokgung Secret garden. This tour of Soul
will give us a memorable experience of both old and
new Korea. In Changdeok Palace, shaded beneath the
boughs of huge old trees lovely pavilions and lotus
ponds welcome you back into the Joseon Kingdom. A visit
to South Gate Open Market, the largest in Asia, is
followed by a visit to Mt. Namsan Park. Afternoon is
free. (B)
Day 03: Seoul
Day free. Seoul is probably the hottest shopping bazaar
in the Asean group of countries. You have the day to
yourself to shop till ….. (B)
Day 04: Seoul / Singapore (fligh)
Morning transfer to the airport for our flight to Singapore
where we are met and transferred to our hotel. As we
arrive in Singapore, one of the cleanest cities in
the world, we are warmly welcomed and transferred to
our hotel.
Overnight: York Hotel, Singapore (3 nights) (B)
Day 05: Singapore
Our experience of the Orient starts with a morning
tour of Singapore that includes a drive through the
very interesting and busy Orchard Street followed by
a tour of the famous Indiantown, Arabtown and Chinatown.
Each area exemplifies the rich multicultural background
of Singaporeans. We take a glimpse of the world famous
Raffel Hotel. Afternoon is at leisure to explore Singapore
and take advantage of the bargains in this duty free
city-state. (B)
Day 06: Singapore
Day free. Singapore is another place known for
it’s
duty free attractions. You have the time
to make the most of it. (B)
Day 07: Singapore / Tampin / Malacca
(train)
Early morning we are transferred o the railway station
for an interesting three hour train ride to Tampin
(train timing subject to change). Enjoy the rural
scenery as the train passes through villages and
plantations. Upon arrival our local guide meets us
and we proceed to the historic city of Malacca.
Overnight: Renaissance Hotel, Malacca (2 nights)

Day 08: Malacca
Today we tour the historic sites of Malacca including
the Cheng Hoon Teng Temple – the oldest functioning
Chinese temple in Malaysia, Kampung Kling Mosque,
Jonker Street (Antique Row), Baba and Nyonya Museum,
Stadhuy’s Building, Malacca Clock Tower,
Christ Church and the famous Porta de Santiago. (B)
Day 09: Malacca / Kuala Lumpur (road 144Kms)
We get a great country view as we drive to Kuala
Lumpur where, upon arrival, we tour this capital
city of Malaysia. We start with a photo stop at
the King’s Palace followed by a visit to the National
Mosque and Railway Station, the national Monument,
Independence Square, Sultan Abdul, photo stops at
the famous Samad building and the Selangor Club,
St. Mary’s Church and the world tallest free-standing
flagpole. Continue to visit the Seri Mahamarian
Temple and colorful Chinatown for bargain hunting.
We culminate
the city tour with a visit to the tallest Communication
Tower in South East Asia for a panoramic view of
the city.
Overnight: Ming Court, Kuala Lumpur (3 nights) (B)
Day 10: Kuala Lumpur
This morning we tour the countryside where we visit
Ambassadors Road, a pewter factory (Malaysia is one
of the biggest producers of tin), Batu Caves, the
sacred cabe temple for Hindus and a batik factory.
Balance of the day is at leisure to discover the
bargains, cafes and restaurants of Kuala Lumpur. (B)
Day 11: Kuala Lumpur
Day free. Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia
is fast catching up with other Asean capitals as
a shopper’s
paradise. With a large local manufacturing set up,
KL is a popular shopper’s destination. KL
also offers many additional attractions that can
be arranged. (B)
Day 12: Kuala Lumpur / Penang (flight)
Today we are transferred to the airport for our flight
to Penang. Upon arrival at Penang airport you will
be met and transferred to your hotel.
Overnight: Bay view Beach Resort, Penang (2 nights)

Day 13: Penang
Morning is our tour of this interesting town and
beach resort which includes the 3rd longest Reclining
Buddha in the world. Next is the Botanical Gardens
which offer lush green surroundings with a wide
variety of tropical plants and bird life. Visit
the Kek Lok
Si Temple built in 1904, the most beautiful and
largest Buddha Temple Complex in South East Asia,
known as
the Temple of 1000 Buddhas, and Fort Cornwallis
where Captain Francis Light first landed. Continue
to the
old part of Georgetown where the Khoo Kong Si Clan
House is located. Enjoy a breezy trishaw ride.
Late evening we have free time to explore the nightlife
along Batu Ferringhi – the Penang style. (B)
Day 14: Penang / Hong Kong (flight)
Today you will be transferred to the airport for
your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival at Hong
Kong airport you are met and transferred to your
hotel.
Overnight: Hotel Kimberly, Hong Kong (2 nights) (B)
Day 15: Hong Kong
Morning we tour this famous city. Our tour covers
a visit to Victoria Peak – Hong Kong’s
most popular spot where we get as excellent panoramic
view of the city, followed by the Kowloon Peninsular,
the Repulse Bay with its huge statues of Tin Hau – goddess
of the sea. We also visit the floating village of
Aberdeen. Afternoon and evening is free for shopping
or enjoying the nightlife and night shopping that
Hong Kong offers. (B)
Day 16: Departure from Hong Kong
We bid farewell as we are transferred to the airport
for our departure flight. (B)
