SOUTH SUDAN - BOMA NATIONAL PARK & CULTURAL SAFARI
A cultural safari in South Sudan

On 09th July, 2011 The Republic South Sudan was created from The Sudan making it the 55th African state which includes the vast swamp region of the Sudd formed by the White Nile, locally called the Bahr al Jabal. It is a landlocked country considered both to be a part of North Africa and Eastern Africa. The capital of this new state is the city of Juba located on the White Nile which is also the largest and commercial centre of the country. South Sudan is bordered by Ethiopia to the east, Kenya to the southeast, Uganda to the south, the Democratic Republic of the Congo to the southwest, the Central African Republic to the west, and The Sudan to the north.

Days 04 – 08 Boma

Major wildlife in the park consists of large herds of white-eared Kob antelope, Tiang antelope, and Mongalla antelope. There are herds of elephant, small groups of Zebra and Nile Buffalo, Rothchild's Giraffe, Hippo, Duiker, Ostrich, Lion, Hyaena, Warthog, Serval, Caracal, Baboon, Lelwel Hartebeest and Waterbuck.   In the camp a cook will prepare all meals, including fresh breads.
